The 4 stages of building a performance mindset

Acknowledging - You cannot change a mindset, habit or behaviour without first acknowledging that it needs changing. This is often more difficult than it sounds as it means admitting to a fault. Acknowledging shortcomings and being open to the challenge of overcoming them is the first and most crucial step of this process. These blogs are aimed at helping you identify those areas of your mindset you may need to change or improve.

Understanding - Once you have identified where you need to improve mentally, the skill of understanding what you need to do to make a lasting change will be your next focus. Embracing - The process of changing or improving mental skills can often be frustrating as quick results will be be hard to come by. Patience and consistency in practice over time will give the lasting results you desire. Embracing the process and enjoying the journey instead of obsessing over the outcome will be a central point of blog posts at this stage.

Commiting - Reaching this stage means you have changed those negative habits and you have learned the importance of being consistent over time. You should now have the tools to commit to the challenge you set yourself when you embarked on this journey. The task of commiting is, however a challenge of its own!  It requires you to fully trust your new way of thinking or behaving regardless of outcome. You have spent many years in learning behaviours and habits you are now changing. You need to overcome the initial frustration of frequent failure. Blog posts in this section will providing you with the tools you need to maintain your new skills while understanding how to manage old thoughts or demons that will creep in.
